[ OLD BUSINESS ]

READING OF THE MINUTES – Motion to accept the 2022 Minutes as printed and published on KAUA website by Jonathon Abernathy – American Tower Corporation  and seconded by Scott Long – Arizona Public Service (APS) without further discussion was passed unanimously by membership.

FINANCIAL COMMITTE REPORT – A printed copy & KAUA 2021 Financial Report and the report was made available to the attendance.  KAUA President Ken McLaughlin presented a summary of the report for KAUA Secretary Treasurer Joey Bringhurst who was excused from the meeting due to schedule conflict. A motion to accept the Financial Committee report as provided was made by Paul Baughman – Mohave County Flood Control and seconded by Don Petrone – Radio Communication Services – Motion passed unanimously by attending membership.

TECHNICAL COMMITTE REPORT – A printed copy of the KAUA Technical Report was made available to the attending and discussed by President Ken McLaughlin-Wecom. With no questions or further discussion a motion was made by Don Petrone – Radio Communication Services and seconded by Jonathon Abernathy – American Tower Corporation to accept the Technical Committee Report and passed unanimously.

ROAD COMMITTEE REPORT – KAUA Road Committee Report was given by Dustin Lewis – Lewis Equipment on the conditions of the Hayden Peak, Getz Peak and Oatman/Goldroad Crest roads. Discussion followed regarding issues on the road conditions for all the sites.   Specific issues included the Hayden upper switchbacks, top site rock shelf, extreme conditions on the north Getz site and costs of repairs.  Weather events affect the scope of work which a heavy monsoon season will likely cause more damage.  It was decided only the most damaged and difficult access sections would receive repair due to limited funds.   A motion to accept the KAUA Road Committee Report was made by Nate Maakestad – AZGT Cooperative and seconded by Don Petrone – Radio Communication Services with unanimous vote to accept the report as

DETERMINATION OF STANDING MEMBERS –  listed as of July 29, 2021 (subject to change prior to 2023 KAUA annual meeting) Refer to the KAUA 2022 financial report.  Members out of Good Standing have already made arrangements to make corrections and meet fee requirements.   It is anticipated that 100% of KAUA right of way leaseholder members will be in “Good Standing” and to be published on the 2023 minutes.

The following where elected by motion, second and unanimous vote by all attending right of way lease holders present:

PRESIDENT- Ken McLaughlin-Wecom/E&T Sites

VICE PRESIDENT – Paul Baughman, Mohave County Flood Control District

SECREATRY-TREASURER – Joey Bringhurst, Wecom

APPOINTMENT OF COMMITTES – The following comities were filled voluntarily by attending the meeting.

Financial Committee: JOEY BRINGHURST-Chairman, KEN MCLAUGHLIN-Member, JON ABERNATHY-Member

Technical Committee:  KEN MCLAUGHLIN-Chairman, DUANE DUNN-Member, FARRON ECKELBARGER-Member, Don Petrone-Member

Road Committee: DUSTIN LEWIS (Lewis Equipment) – Chairman, KEN MCLAUGHLIN-Member, FARRON ECKELBARGER-Member, TED ROPER-Member.

President McLaughlin thanked all for volunteering and pledged to support and assist in all work performed by the committees as usual for the past 17 years.

ADJOURNMENT – Motion to conclude the 2022 KAUA annual meeting made by Ted Roper – Mohave County Flood Control and seconded by Jonathon Abernathy – American Tower Corporation = unanimous.  Meeting concluded at 11:16 a.m.
